Eradicate the number one indoor pollutant-The Dust Mite
Healthy Indoor and Outdoor EnvironmentsThe dust mite, which is pictured is the #1 bug in your home, and there are thousands of them on your bedding. In fact most homes have at least 10,000,000 (ten million) or more in their bedding, carpeting and furniture. mites
Wherever they may find a chunk of flaked skin, they will move in, over populate, and become a visitor until you kill them. Imagine sleeping with literally tens of thousands of them each night knowing they reproduce faster then bunnies! You lose more skin in bed then any other time during the day, so your bed is their buffet.
A two month old mattress can already hold 100,000 or more mites, which have imbedded themselves deeply in the fibers of the mattress and pillow. Think you aren't breathing their dung and swallowing a few during the night?

You breath those mite's dung and dead matter.

Other Culprits In Your Home
They are not the only creepy-crawlers in your home. Has anyone has ever walked in your home with shoes on, or do your pets go outside?

If you said yes, you also have debri which has been brought in and re-deposited on your floors, and I am not talking about just bugs. You now have bacteria, mold spores, fecal matter, chemicals and yes, even squished bugs and bug larvae.

Do you have pets leaving behind worm segments?

If you have any pets at all, you have also inherited their skin dander, flea and tick dung and larvae, urine chemicals emitted into the air and also on your floors and furniture, and possibly the counters if you have a cat. The bonus is they also leave behind tapeworm segments and other larvae for you to ingest yourself! Ever had a little rash you couldn't explain? It is possible it comes from fleas which you have ingested and may be subject to tapeworms yourself.

You may not realize it, but the putrid environment our homes harbor are the starting point of most illnesses in children, pets and adults. Many hold so many allergens, mold and bacteria, that it has been documented that the air in our homes is far more polluted then the outdoor air. That is why you feel better when you go outside for fresh air.

The good news is you really only need a few things to make your indoor environment healthier.

1) Get a good Vacuum that is recommended as being the best on the market for cleaning without dispersing the particles into the air. If you are just blowing the debri around into the air, you have caused more harm then good. You need a good vacuum, which has a tight seal on the canister and also has Hepa filters.

2) Get a good Steam cleaner and kill the mites and cockroaches that are pooping out the debris that is making your family sick. Kill germs in your carpet and on your other floor surfaces. They will also be usable for nearly everything in your home. Toys to toilets and your bedding! You need one that gets hot enough to kill it all, and stays hot enough to do the job right. In researching the many steamers capable of meeting the steady heat requirements, we found the Jiffy steamer, which is actually used mainly for garments, is the most recommended staeamer. A steamer would be my first pick to get my house back into a healthy home.
3) Get a good Air Purifier and use it faithfully. I personally believe the Austin Air is the best one for price, quality and ability to do what it says it does. While researching purifiers, I found the Austin Air was listed most often. The majority of allergen sites and websites which market indoor environmental cleaning services and upkeep products included Austin Air often.
4) Get Mite and Flea Powder and treat your home to eliminate the mites. This is not as natural as a steamer, but will at least help
5) Get Bed Linens made to repel allergens. These are great, but a bit pricey at department stores. You may find a better deal through our source.

Using this simple information, you can almost eradicate the pollutants and allergens in your home. They are indeed the solution for the healthy upkeep of your indoor environment.

If you must choose only one or two methods, the air purification system and a good dose of flea and mite treatment is highly recommended to dramatically cut down the allergens in your home. The ones in the store are going to be good ones for this purpose.

If you have pets, your house is full of dander, hair, flea and tick larvae and most likely even tapeworm feces. All of which can cause illness you wont believe. You can read more about them in the article section of this website.

Carpeting is nice and warm, but it is also the breeding ground for dust mites and other organisms that you can not see.

Pets and people go outside and then across the carpeting. Nobody takes their shoes off 100% of the time. The deposits left behind are not normally visible to the human eye, but they are there waiting to grow and infect the entire family with disease.

Animals such as cats use their cat pan and then go across the flooring with the debris from their paws with each step. Dogs who go outside enter with many mold spore, feces, bugs, fleas, ticks etc.

Children and the elderly are especially susceptible to environmental allergens. You may not have thought of it, but even cooking fumes can cause pollutions within your home that is capable of causing illness. Most homes are not vented properly and the exhaust systems for homes are very inadequate for pulling out cooking odor and greases that float through the air.

Cigarette smoke is one of the most dangerous toxic fumes, but common household cleaners, cooking and even ordinary foot traffic can cause a home to be polluted within hours.

Heating season really mixes it all up as the furnace kicks in. It is a constant circular motion as the cold air returns pull it one way and the hot air pushes it another way. You don't really have to have allergies to feel sick from air born pollutants. Many of them are dust mites, fecal matter from the pets and even worm residue.

Get a good Vacuum cleaner, Steam Cleaner and a top notch air purifier If you can not invest in all three, go for the air purifier and start pulling the contaminates out of your home. A high powered steamer would be next.
